What is it?

Price rules let you dynamically adjust the delivery price shown at checkout based on conditions like cart value, weight, voucher codes, or delivery destination. They are applied after all delivery options have been filtered — so they only affect options that are actually available to the shopper.

Each carrier product has a base price and one or more price rules. Rules are evaluated top to bottom — the first rule whose conditions match sets the price. If no rules match, the base price is used.

Key benefits

  • Free shipping thresholds — automatically set delivery to 0.00 above a cart value

  • Weight-based pricing — charge more for heavier orders

  • Promotional pricing — offer free or discounted delivery with voucher codes

  • Location-based pricing — different rates for different postal code areas

  • No manual price changes — pricing adapts automatically to each order

Common use cases

Free shipping above a cart value

Orders over 500 SEK get free delivery, others pay the base price.

Condition

Price

TOTAL_VALUE ≥ 50000

0.00

Base price: 89.00

Weight-based pricing tiers

Different delivery costs based on total order weight.

TOTAL_WEIGHT ≤ 5000

TOTAL_WEIGHT ≤ 10000

79.00

TOTAL_WEIGHT ≤ 20000

119.00

Rules are evaluated top to bottom — a 4 kg order matches the first rule (49.00).

Free shipping with a voucher code

A promotional voucher gives free shipping on orders above 300 SEK.

Available condition types

Condition

What it checks

TOTAL_VALUE

Cart value (in minor units: 50000 = 500.00)

TOTAL_WEIGHT

Total cart weight (grams)

VOUCHER

Voucher code in the cart

IN_POSTAL_CODE_RANGE

Delivery postal code range

HAS_CART_ATTRIBUTE

Cart has a specific attribute

HAS_CART_ITEM_ATTRIBUTE

At least one item has the attribute

CARRIER_PRODUCT_AVAILABILITY

Another carrier product is available

Multiple conditions can be combined in a single rule — all must be met for the price to apply.

Important: Values are in minor currency units. 500 SEK = 50000, not 500. 10.50 EUR = 1050, not 10.50.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if no price rule matches?
A: The carrier product's base price is used. Make sure the base price is set correctly as a fallback.

Q: Does the order of rules matter?
A: Yes! Rules are evaluated top to bottom. The first rule that matches sets the price. Put your most specific rules at the top and general ones at the bottom.

Q: Can I combine multiple conditions in one rule?
A: Yes. For example, VOUCHER + TOTAL_VALUE means the voucher must be present AND the cart must exceed the value threshold. All conditions must be met.

Q: Can price rules hide delivery options?
A: No. Price rules only change the price. To show or hide options, use Filter Rules or Post Filter Rules.

Q: Do price rules work in both Checkout V1 and V2?
A: Yes.
