DHL is replacing the technical interface (API) that Ingrid uses to connect to DHL Express. Ingrid will move your account to the new version. This article explains what is changing, what it means for you, and when it will happen.
No technical changes are needed on your side. The Ingrid Support team carries out the migration on your account. You do not need new DHL credentials or changes to your own setup.
What is changing
DHL Express is retiring its older API (V1) and moving all integrations to its newer MyDHL API (V2). Ingrid connects to DHL Express through this API for checkout, booking, tracking and returns, so we are updating our integration to the new version.
This is a technical change in how Ingrid connects to DHL Express. DHL Express services, your shipping methods and your DHL contract stay the same.
Why this is happening
DHL is retiring the older API (V1) globally and is working towards a target date of January 31, 2027. To keep DHL Express working without interruption, every account needs to be moved to the new API.
Who is affected
All merchants who use DHL Express through Ingrid, across checkout, booking, tracking and returns.
DHL Express Breakbulk is not affected, as it already runs on the new API.
What you need to do
Ingrid Support makes all the changes on your account.
Your existing DHL credentials keep working. DHL has confirmed that they work with both the old and the new API, so you do not need to request new ones.
Your own integration with Ingrid does not need to change. If you want more accurate delivery rates in checkout, you can optionally include package dimensions in the checkout session. If you do not, we apply default package dimensions to your account.
Please add this migration to your December and January planning. If you expect it to be difficult to complete by January 31, for example because of the holiday period or limited resources, ask Iris, Ingrid’s AI assistant, in the chat on the Ingrid Help Center, or follow up in the Customer Portal early.

Want to move earlier? If you prefer to migrate before January, ask Iris, Ingrid’s AI assistant, in the chat on the Ingrid Help Center, or follow up in the Customer Portal, and we will schedule it with you.
