Use this article to find out what the Unified Ingrid interface lets you do, how configuring in plain language and production-first working fit together, and how to sign in to the Unified Ingrid interface.
This article is for retailers who run their delivery setup in Ingrid. The Unified Ingrid interface is one place to run your delivery: set where you ship from and to, the carriers you offer and what shoppers see at checkout, and adjust it yourself as your business changes, without waiting on Ingrid.
Rolling out in stages. The Unified Ingrid interface is still being introduced, so not every account has it yet, and some features arrive before others. The back office you use today, the Ingrid Merchant Platform, remains available at mad.ingrid.com. If you are unsure what is switched on for you, ask your implementation consultant or your Customer Success contact.
What you can achieve with the Unified Ingrid interface
With the Unified Ingrid interface, you can:
Run delivery across all your markets and locations from one place, with no juggling of separate tools or back-office surfaces.
Offer the right delivery options in every region by matching carriers and services to where your shoppers are.
Own your checkout delivery experience by deciding what shoppers see and what is recommended first.
Adapt fast by changing routes, carriers and options yourself, with no support ticket and no waiting.
See changes before shoppers do: every change is reflected in a live checkout preview, so you launch with confidence.
When the Unified Ingrid interface helps
The Unified Ingrid interface helps most when you are:
Expanding to a new market: add the region, the carriers and the delivery options shoppers there should see.
Adding a fulfillment location: define where you ship from and how orders are routed.
Improving checkout conversion: curate and order delivery options to match what your shoppers value.
Reacting to peak or seasonal change: adjust carriers and options quickly, yourself.
Configure the Unified Ingrid interface in plain language
In the Unified Ingrid interface, rather than clicking through every screen, you can describe what you want, for example "create a region for Europe", and the assistant makes the change.
The assistant has the same capabilities you have through the Unified Ingrid interface, and it knows your current configuration, so you can also ask it questions about your own setup or for guidance when you are not sure what to change. The assistant saves the most time on bulk work: changes across many carriers, regions or delivery options at once.
Working production-first in the Unified Ingrid interface
In the Unified Ingrid interface, you configure directly in production. As in the Ingrid Merchant Platform, changes are held as drafts until you publish them, so nothing reaches shoppers before you are ready, and you can preview the result first.
What is different is that the Unified Ingrid interface has no separate staging environment. You are not building a configuration in one place and copying it to another, so the two cannot drift apart.
If you want somewhere to experiment freely, set up a separate site rather than looking for a separate environment. How many sites you can have depends on your Ingrid tier; see Ingrid products and tiers or ask your Ingrid contact.
How to sign in to the Unified Ingrid interface
