What is it?
The Centra integration connects Ingrid Returns to your Centra e-commerce backend. Once connected, returns initiated through the Ingrid Returns widget are synchronized with Centra — orders are fetched directly, refunds are issued back into Centra, and exchange orders are created without manual intervention.
The integration follows the same standardized e-commerce integration pattern used across all Ingrid Returns platform connectors, so it participates in the same returns lifecycle as Shopify, Magento, and other supported platforms.
Key benefits
Automated returns workflow — orders are fetched, refunds are issued, and exchange orders are created automatically. No manual data entry in Centra.
Native Centra experience for shoppers — exchange orders appear in your Centra fulfillment queue just like any standard order.
Faster return-to-refund cycle — refunds are triggered as soon as the return is approved at the warehouse.
Consistent integration model — the same logic that powers Shopify and Magento connectors also powers Centra, so behavior is predictable across platforms.
How it works
The integration handles the operations Ingrid Returns needs during a return: reading order data, triggering refunds, creating exchange orders, and fetching product information.
Order fetching
When a customer initiates a return, Ingrid Returns fetches the relevant order from Centra using the order identifier provided. The order data is used to verify return eligibility, populate line items, and calculate refund amounts.
Refunds
When a return is confirmed at the warehouse, Ingrid Returns triggers a refund in Centra. Refund amounts are calculated from customer-currency price fields on the order.
Exchanges
When a customer selects a replacement item, the integration creates a new order in Centra. The exchange order enters your standard Centra fulfillment process — your team treats it like any other order.
Products and variants
The integration fetches product and variant data from Centra to support return reason configuration and product-level policies. Products are identified by their Centra product and variant IDs.
Use cases
Ideal for: Fashion and lifestyle merchants running Centra as their primary e-commerce backend who want to automate the returns and refunds workflow.
Common applications:
Automated refund issuance to Centra when a return is processed at the warehouse
Exchange order creation directly in Centra when a customer selects a replacement item
Product catalog lookup to populate return reasons and eligibility rules
Order eligibility checks before a customer can initiate a return
